Program Introduction

The Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies program offers a comprehensive foundation in legal principles and practical skills essential for a career in the legal field. Students will gain a thorough understanding of procedural law, legal research, writing, and case management through a curriculum that emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. The program is designed to prepare graduates for roles in law firms, corporate legal departments, or government agencies, this program equips students with the expertise needed to excel as professional and capable paralegals.

   

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs): Throughout the program, students will achieve the following Program Learning Outcomes:

  1. Utilize appropriate sources and methods to research legal issues, statutes, regulations, and case law.
  2. Prepare accurate and well-organized legal documents, including briefs, memos, contracts, and pleadings.
  3. Support attorneys in organizing case files, managing deadlines, and coordinating communication with clients and courts.
  4. Analyze legal problems and apply relevant laws and procedures to assist in resolving legal issues effectively.
  5. Communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing, with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders in the legal process.
  6. Demonstrate ethical behavior, confidentiality, and professionalism in all aspects of paralegal practice.

 

Program Details

 

Duration:                             4 years

Entry Requirements:      Intermediate or equivalent (12 years) qualification with minimum (45%) marks

In case of O Level, A Level, American High School Diploma or any other equivalent foreign qualification marks or grades etc.

50 % passing marks in NAT/Admission Test
